Zeus Comics and Collectibles

Zeus Comics is an award winning comic shop in Dallas, TX. Martini Lab worked with Zeus to build an online presence that matched the their high-end retail aesthetic and built a suite of communication tools to keep them and their customers connected both online and off.

Beyond the newsletter

Comic shops, like record stores, have new products each week. With titles ranging from Action Comics to Zatanna, customers want to know what comes out each week. After setting up a weekly email list for their customers (desktop and mobile editions), we worked with the store to build an interactive "comics wall" on their site. Customers can go the their checklist each week, create a pull list of their favorite comics and submit their picks directly to the store.

In addition, Zeus has an admin interface to generate reports and breakdowns of their customers weekly data.

One size does not fit all. This was especially the case for Zeus Comics. The volume of items received each week, working with an existing retail point-of-sale system, the limited ability to customize most e-commerce software all made for an scenario only solvable with an e-commerce solution built from the ground up.
